Stemming from the commitment of the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at the Arab University of Amman to support entrepreneurship and enable students and graduates to transform their ideas into sustainable entrepreneurial projects, the project of graduate engineer Noor Al-Huda Saleh Al-Mustafa, incubated by the university's center, qualified among the top (5) entrepreneurial projects at the national level in the incubation program and business accelerator The Catalyst, executed by iPARK in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Yale University (Yale University), under the supervision of program director Lars Ratjen from Yale University.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, President of the Arab University of Amman, congratulated graduate engineer Noor Al-Huda Saleh Al-Mustafa on this honorable achievement, affirming the university's pride and esteem for it, indicating that this qualification embodies the university's strategic direction towards linking knowledge with application and enhancing the green economy. He also emphasized that the Arab University of Amman will remain a supporting and nurturing entity for its students and graduates in the pathway of innovation and entrepreneurship, wishing them more progress and success in the upcoming stages of the program..
Graduate Noor Al-Huda from the Department of Architecture in the College of Engineering at the Arab University of Amman stated that the project explores the production and manufacturing of organic fertilizers from coffee waste, aiming to recycle organic waste and utilize it in supporting sustainable agriculture, by transforming coffee residue into natural, environmentally friendly products that contribute to improving soil quality and reducing the environmental impact of waste, and this project serves as a practical example of green innovation that combines scientific and practical aspects in the framework of supporting the circular economy and environmental sustainability.
The Catalyst is one of the prominent entrepreneurial programs in the fields of green chemistry and sustainability, where participants underwent stages of evaluation and judging, presenting their innovative ideas and sustainable solutions before a panel of experts and specialized mentors, culminating in the selection of (5) outstanding projects from among dozens of competitors to begin the incubation and specialized support phase.
Dr. Samer Ayasra, Director of the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at the Arab University of Amman, indicated that this qualification represents a practical model of the university's approach focused on developing sustainable, applicable solutions, and linking scientific research and invention with entrepreneurship. He affirmed the center's continued efforts to create an incubating and stimulating environment for students and graduates through incubation programs, mentoring, open innovation, and various entrepreneurial challenges. The project continues its entrepreneurial path through incubation and development within the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at the Arab University of Amman, enhancing the chances of transforming the idea into a product with tangible environmental and economic impact..
