UK a magical cleaning brush causes a girl to go bald

Khaberni - A British mother complained about her three-year-old daughter suffering a painful incident after purchasing an electric cleaner from Temu, as the device caused a large portion of the girl's hair to be pulled out as soon as it was removed from the box.

The mother, Amy, who is 36 years old, explained that she bought the device known as "Magic Brush" for four British pounds to facilitate household chores, but was surprised that the brush operated automatically and pulled her daughter's hair, leaving a clear bald spot on her head.

Following the incident, the mother examined the child’s head and found the lost hair stuck in the brush, which shocked her greatly, while the child experienced severe pain later, according to what was reported by "Metro" newspaper.

The family filed a complaint with the Norfolk trading authorities, which confirmed that the product had been pulled from the British market and a comprehensive review of the instructions and warnings associated with it was being conducted.

The incident sparked a wide reaction on social media, where the public expressed shock and sadness over the child’s physical and psychological trauma, calling for stricter controls on electrical devices for children.

The mother confirmed that she rejected the financial compensation offer by Temu presented through PayPal worth 1,500 British pounds, emphasizing that she did not want any other child to suffer what her daughter endured.

Temu, the Chinese platform that launched in 2022, acts as an electronic marketplace connecting buyers with independent sellers, and the company assured that it has taken precautionary measures by removing similar products and that it is cooperating with international testing bodies to ensure the safety of the devices sold, with a commitment to maximum consumer protection.

This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of electric cleaning devices for children, especially those sold through e-commerce platforms dealing with third-party sellers, as negligence in instructions or inadequate warnings can lead to painful physical injuries, as occurred with the girl, whose lost hair has not grown back more than a month after the incident.
