Khaberni - The "Al-Qassam Brigades," the military wing of the "Hamas" movement, announced that they found the body of one of the Israeli prisoners during search operations in a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip.
The brigades stated that they will postpone the delivery of the body, which was scheduled for today, due to "occupation breaches," warning that "any Zionist escalation will hinder search and excavation operations and the retrieval of bodies, which will delay the occupation’s recovery of their dead bodies."
Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported that he directed the military to carry out immediate strong strikes in the Gaza Strip, following security consultations.
Israel also threatened to expand the "yellow line" in the Gaza Strip and reduce humanitarian aid, following accusations against the "Hamas" movement of breaching the ceasefire agreement.
This came during security consultations held by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he directed the immediate execution of strong strikes in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu justified this decision by stating that "Hamas" had handed over human remains that did not belong to the missing Israeli hostages, considering this a violation of the ceasefire.
For its part, the "Hamas" movement affirmed its commitment to the ceasefire, noting that a lack of necessary equipment for identifying bodies hampers search operations.
Israel decided to stop joint search operations with the Red Cross inside the "yellow line," while the families of the Israeli prisoners demanded an urgent meeting with Netanyahu.
In response to these developments, the Israeli army bombed sites in the Gaza Strip on the evening of Tuesday, while an Israeli security official warned of "broad attacks within the coming hours."
For its part, the "Hamas" movement accused Israel of following a "systematic policy to obstruct the search efforts" for the bodies of prisoners and Palestinian martyrs, pointing out the prevention of introducing machinery and heavy equipment necessary for the search operations.
