Khaberni - The Lebanese President, Joseph Aoun, received on Tuesday afternoon at the Baabda Palace, the Egyptian General Intelligence Director Minister Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, accompanied by a delegation, in the presence of the Director General of Public Security Major General Hassan Shaqir and the Director of Army Intelligence Brigadier General Antoine Kahwaji.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Rashad conveyed to President Aoun the greetings of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his best wishes for success in leading Lebanon towards stability.
The meeting discussed the general situation in the region, especially in the south and the situation in Gaza.
Minister Rashad expressed his country's readiness to assist in stabilizing the south and ending the security disturbances, reiterating Egypt's ongoing support for Lebanon.
For his part, President Aoun conveyed his greetings to President El-Sisi, thanked for Egypt’s continuous support for Lebanon in various fields, and welcomed any Egyptian effort to contribute to stopping Israeli aggressions and restoring stability to the country.
