Khaberni - Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Local Administration, Engineer Walid Al-Masri, inspected the municipalities of Umm Al-Jamal, Umm Al-Qutein, and Al-Mukayfita in Mafraq governorate, to assess the level of services provided to citizens and monitor the winter season preparedness plans.
During the tour, Al-Masri met with the heads of the municipal committees and a number of employees at the municipalities' headquarters, and listened to a detailed briefing on the progress of work and ongoing projects, as well as the main financial, administrative, and service challenges and ways to deal with them.
The minister also inspected several areas under the municipalities’ jurisdiction, checking on the public cleanliness and maintenance operations, in addition to monitoring the readiness of the rainwater drainage networks and the cleaning of valley channels as part of the winter readiness plan.
Al-Masri emphasized the necessity to improve the level of services and public cleanliness, and to enhance field readiness to efficiently cope with the expected weather conditions during the winter season.
