Khaberni - Local Administration Minister, Engineer Walid Al-Masri, inspected on Tuesday the municipalities of Um Al-Qutain and Al-Mukayfita to review the state of services provided to citizens and monitor the readiness plans for the winter season.
During the tour, Minister Al-Masri met with the head of the municipal committee, Taleb Mansour Al-Hamad, and a number of employees at the municipal headquarters, where he received a detailed briefing on the progress of work and existing projects, as well as the main financial, administrative, and service challenges facing the municipalities and the mechanisms for dealing with them.
Al-Masri also conducted an inspection tour of several areas within the municipality and reviewed on-site the general cleanliness conditions and ongoing maintenance works. Furthermore, he monitored the readiness of the rainwater drainage networks and the cleaning of stream channels as part of the winter preparedness plan.
The minister emphasized the necessity of improving service levels and general cleanliness, and enhancing field readiness to efficiently deal with the expected weather conditions during the winter season.
The head of the municipal committee, Taleb Al-Hamad, stated that the municipality is leveraging all its capabilities to serve the local community, appreciating the minister's visit to the municipality.
