Khaberni - Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army carried out demolitions of the remaining buildings and facilities in the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip, under its control according to the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10th.

Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed that the Israeli occupation army carried out massive demolitions in eastern Gaza City and Al-Bureij camp, coinciding with artillery shelling, within the areas east of what is known as the "Yellow Line".

According to sources at Anadolu Agency, since dawn today, the Israeli army has been carrying out demolitions in the eastern areas of Gaza City and Khan Yunis (south) and the central governorate.

Eye witnesses living in areas near east Gaza City said that the force of the explosion resulting from the demolitions caused damage to what remained of their destroyed homes.

According to the Palestinian civil defense, thousands of buildings in the Gaza Strip are now at risk of collapse due to damage from the Israeli shelling over the past two years of annihilation, while Palestinians say that any slight movement could cause small partial collapses in these buildings.

Last Saturday, the spokesperson for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Hazem Qassem stated that the ongoing demolitions and destruction of homes and residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip, especially in its eastern parts, carried out by the Israeli occupation, are a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement on Gaza.

Qassem in a statement called on mediators to pressure the occupation to stop these breaches which are manifested in daily killings, the continuation of the blockade, restriction of aid, and failure to open the Rafah crossing.

Humanitarianly, the spokesperson for Gaza municipality, Asim Al-Nabih, told Al Jazeera that the measures taken so far do not even provide the minimum level of services to the residents of the sector.

He noted that the sector is still in an emergency stage and recovery cannot begin without introducing the necessary needs, amid the occupation's non-compliance with the supposed daily entry of aid trucks according to the agreement.

It is worth mentioning that the Yellow Line is the first withdrawal line stipulated in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, according to President Donald Trump's plan.

This line separates the areas where the Israeli army is still present on the eastern side, from the areas where Palestinians are allowed to move within on the western side.
