Decrease in Cyber Attacks in Jordan

Khaberni - The President of the National Cybersecurity Center, Mohammed Al-Samadi, stated that the number of cyber-attacks in Jordan has decreased during the past period, noting that this is due to preventive measures taken and the increased level of awareness among Jordanian citizens.

This was announced during a press conference held on Tuesday to announce the event of the Conference and Exhibition on Progress, Innovation, and Technology in Cybersecurity (C8 2025), with widespread participation from thought leaders, experts, and specialists in the fields of cybersecurity and future technology.

Al-Samadi confirmed that the event, sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, comes amid the accelerating digital innovation the world is witnessing, and it is a strategic step and a continuation of the leadership journey led by Prince Hussein, highlighting the Crown Prince's sponsorship of the event as embodying the significant interest in digital transformation.

Al-Samadi pointed out that the event aims to unify national efforts in the field of cybersecurity and to focus on Jordanian efforts in this sector, emphasizing that the cyber space in Jordan is safe.

He mentioned that the center is in the final stages of completing the executive program associated with the national strategy for cybersecurity.

In turn, the CEO of SOFEX Jordan, Rateb Abu Al-Ragheb, said that during the event, the focus will be on Jordan's progress in the cyber field.

Abu Al-Ragheb confirmed that the future technology sector is not limited to the military aspect only but includes both civil and military areas.

The event, to be held from November 18 to 20, 2025, is a specialized regional platform in cybersecurity, aiming to establish Jordan's position in the field of cybersecurity in alignment with the rapid technological advancements in future technologies.

The event gathers a selection of decision-makers and experts from various technical sectors to discuss the most prominent global trends and showcase innovative solutions in the fields of cybersecurity and advanced digital technologies.

The event includes a set of accompanying activities, notably the "Dot Cyber" summit for cybersecurity, the "Armithon" competition for cybersecurity designated for armies and security agencies, and the Artificial Intelligence Conference Exhibition in Defense and Cybersecurity Technologies, in addition to simulation sessions and a live hacking competition.

The sponsorship by His Highness embodies the keenness of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince to support national efforts in the field of technology and cybersecurity, and to enhance Jordan's presence as a regional hub in this vital sector.
