Khaberni - In a step aimed at enhancing the level of health services provided to the residents of Al-Azraq area, the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services signed a mutual cooperation agreement that allows the inclusion of civilians from Al-Azraq district in the services provided by Al-Azraq Comprehensive Military Medical Center, including kidney dialysis and gynecological diseases.

The agreement follows the visit made by the Prime Minister to Al-Azraq district last week, during which he directed the inclusion of civilians from Al-Azraq in the services provided by the military medical center and cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services in this regard.

Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour said that the signing of the agreement came within the framework of enhancing partnership and integration between state institutions in the health sector, to ensure equitable and efficient delivery of services to all citizens, and to achieve optimal use of the capabilities available at the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services.

Al-Badour pointed out that a permanent gynecologist has been provided by the medical services at the medical center, along with the provision of modern television imaging devices, noting that the center will start today receiving civilians and providing them with medical services.

For his part, the Director General of the Royal Medical Services, Brigadier General Doctor Sahl Al-Hamouri, explained that the agreement reflects the commitment of the medical services to support national efforts to improve the level of healthcare provided to the citizens.

Al-Hamouri added that Al-Azraq Comprehensive Military Center will become a model for integration between the civilian and military health sectors in the kingdom, indicating that work is ongoing on establishing a comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology department within the center and increasing the number of kidney dialysis beds to meet the needs of the residents of the area.

This agreement marks a step towards enhancing efforts and integration among various institutions to improve the reality of services provided to citizens, and to elevate the quality of medical care and ensure its sustainability in all provinces.
