Jordanian Bar Association The disbarment of the lawyer confirms the rejection of normalization

Khaberni - The Jordanian Bar Association affirmed its absolute rejection of any dealings or recognition of measures, decisions, or statements issued by the occupying entity, emphasizing that its stance is based on national, legal, and international constants that refuse occupation, colonization, and apartheid.

The Association stated in a release issued by the head of the Bar, Yahya Abu Aboud, on Monday, that it followed a message published in media and social networking sites, before it reached the Association’s email, issued by the president of the lawyers’ syndicate of the entity regarding a lawyer who was disbarred from the Association’s register for representing a colony with a legal warning.

The Association affirmed in its statement that it "will not recognize and will not deal with all the measures and decisions issued by the occupying entity" as long as Palestine is occupied and its people deported and deprived of their right to establish their independent state on all their national territory, including its capital, Jerusalem, affirming that Zionist war criminals continue to escape the justice they deserve.

The Association said that its decision to disbar the mentioned lawyer is based on the provisions of the Lawyers' Association Law, the professional etiquette regulation, and rules of conduct, and on the established union traditions that elevate the rule of law and the supremacy of the principles of public international law and humanitarian law.

The Association confirmed that its stance aligns with the decisions of the General Assembly of the Bar Association and the Arab Lawyers' Union, and with the positions of global movements opposing apartheid, emphasizing that its decisions are subject to the principle of legitimacy applied by the independent national judiciary, in whose judgments and fairness the Association trusts.
