What are the benefits of Wild Red Top

Khaberni - The General Health Insurance Fund in Germany said that the cranberry, also known in the Arab countries as red wild berries, or cranberries, is considered a superfood, as it is considered a treasure trove of important vitamins and minerals for the body, and it also helps in treating some diseases.

The fund clarified that cranberries are a type of wild berry distinguished by its bright red color and tart taste, noting that it is rich in vitamins "C," "E," and "K1," as well as manganese.

Bladder

Cranberries also contain valuable secondary plant substances such as "flavonoids," a group of colored and protective substances from the "polyphenol" family, such as "proanthocyanidin," which prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall, causing irritation and urinary tract infections, especially in women.

Some doctors recommend cranberries as a potential treatment for urinary tract infections not accompanied by fever, especially in premenopausal women.

Blood Vessels

The positive impact of cranberries is not limited to bladder health only, as there is evidence that it can also affect the health of blood vessels.

A small study conducted on healthy men provided preliminary evidence that daily consumption of cranberry powder can improve the function of the vascular endothelium.

It is noted that the vascular endothelium is a layer of cells that line the blood vessels from the inside and regulate blood flow, with a healthy endothelium ensuring the expansion or contraction of blood vessels and affecting blood clotting and protection from plaque accumulation in the arteries.

Poor endothelial function can lead to high blood pressure, arterial stiffness, and other cardiovascular diseases.
