Khaberni - Former Brazilian player Dani Alves completely changed his life after spending several months in prison on a serious charge related to sexually assaulting a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona in December 2022.
The former Barcelona and Brazil defender spent one year in prison and was then acquitted by the Supreme Court of Catalonia in March of last year due to the lack of conclusive evidence of the incident, and he paid a bail of one million euros.
The case received widespread media coverage as he was initially sentenced to more than 4 years in prison.
After withdrawing from public life in recent months, 42-year-old Alves made a sudden reappearance on social media, adopting a lifestyle completely different from the media and professional football.
Several video clips have spread on social media showing him delivering sermons in a church in Girona, specifically Elim Girona Church. During his speech, he can be heard saying phrases like, "You have to have faith; I am proof of that. Because what God promises, He delivers."
A TikTok user who managed to record the Brazilian's speech during one of his visits to this evangelical church wrote: "The faith that changes. Dani Alves, from a football player to a preacher. Glory to God alone."
