Khaberni - The Agriculture and Water Committee in the Senate, chaired by Senator Dr. Akif Al-Za'bi, met with a number of workers in the dairy sector and dairy factories.
Al-Za'bi said that the meeting was held to discuss the impact of transferring the powdered milk file from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and to come up with recommendations concerning the file and the sector.
The committee listened to the workers in the dairy sector and representatives of dairy companies and their derivatives regarding the powdered milk file, as the file was naturally managed by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The committee recommended holding a meeting with the Ministers of Industry, Trade, and Agriculture to continue the discussion in the dairy and dairy products sector, pointing to the possibility of reconsidering the decision to transfer the file.
The meeting was attended by Laith Al-Haj, chairman of the Coalition of Cattle Breeders Association, association members Majed Allian and Kifah Al-Amayreh, the association's media advisor Abdullah Irbeihat, and a representative from the Jordanian-Danish Dairy Company Baladna, Naser Khader.
Also present were Ghazi Jaber, the general manager of Al Maha Cheese and Dairy Company, a company representative Ahmad Al-Hourani, the CEO of Today's Dairy Company, Mohammad Rawashdeh, the general manager of Bloudan Dairy Company, Ayman Salameh, and a representative from the company, Musa Salameh.
