Khaberni - The Directorate of Public Works for Mafraq Governorate has implemented during this year a number of projects and settled financial commitments for previous projects valued at 567,000 dinars, according to the directorate’s engineer Ibrahim Al-Hammad.
Al-Hammad stated that the directorate's budget for the current year was 350,000 dinars, with 150,000 dinars allocated for the implementation of agricultural roads project tenders, expansion works, and general safety of some roads, indicating that the rest of the amount was allocated to settling debts for previous projects.
He added that the Mafraq Public Works Directorate received additional financial allocations from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing amounting to 217,000 dinars, through which several projects were implemented including the construction of an additional lane for the Jaber border entrance and a square for the Jordanian flagpole, in addition to agricultural roads projects that included the Al-Mukayfita Road, Hay Al-Shawi area, the second part of the Balama Al-Watb road, and the Khirbet Al-Musharrafah road along with the expansion and improvement of the entrance to the Huwwash area on the Mafraq-Irbid road.
