Khaberni - Brigadier General Abdul Aziz Al-Ahmad, the commander of internal security in Latakia province, western Syria, announced that the city's Directorate of Internal Security, in cooperation with the counter-terrorism branch, and after careful monitoring and ongoing surveillance, managed to arrest the "criminal" Major General Nayef Saleh Dirgham, originally from the village of Al-Shamiyah in northern Latakia countryside.
Brigadier General Al-Ahmad explained that Dirgham was involved in committing serious violations against civilians during the rule of the defunct regime, noting that he held sensitive leadership positions in state institutions at the time, including the position of Military Attorney General, under which military and field courts were subordinate.
He added that the criminal was referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigations in preparation for presenting him to the specialized judiciary, and to take the necessary legal actions against him.
