Khaberni - The Ma'an tribes gave the relevant authorities, with Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya at the forefront, 48 hours to take immediate action regarding the assault incident on the young man Faisal Hossam Shawish Al Khattab during Khaberni’s examination of one of the well-known insurance companies in the capital, Amman.
The statement accused the company’s manager of enlisting several people to assault Shawish using iron tools, causing him severe injuries and fractures, Khaberni moved him to the hospital subsequently.
The tribes expressed their astonishment at the release of the company manager after hosting him in the Shmeisani security center without a serious investigation - according to their description -, and the non-arrest of the attackers so far.
The tribes demanded:
1- An immediate, transparent, and independent investigation into the incident.
2- The arrest of the company manager accused by Khaberni of instigating the assault and not granting him bail.
3- The arrest of all attackers and disclosure of their names and the measures taken against them.
4- Providing the necessary medical care for the injured and keeping his family informed of the investigation results.
5- Holding accountable any party or person attempting to mediate Khaberni or obstruct justice.
6- The closure of the company and the revocation of its license due to its illegal practices.
The statement considered that the case has become not personal, but a matter of public opinion affecting the dignity of the Ma'an tribes and the prestige of the state, Khaberni, with demands for an official statement within 48 hours about the actions taken, pointing out that the continuation of silence might lead to unpredictable reactions.
