Khaberni - The Joint Force in the Darfur region, Sudan, mourns its official spokesperson Colonel Ahmed Hussein Mustafa Idroob and war correspondent Asia Al-Khalifa, who were killed early today in an attack on the city of Al Fasher.

A statement issued by the Joint Force for Civilian Protection in Darfur praised Colonel Idroob for his discipline and sincerity in the field, affirming that he "was a voice expressing the sacrifices of the Joint Force and its steadfastness in the face of aggression," describing him as "known to all for his patriotism, his commitment to unity, and his dedication to protecting civilians."

In the same incident, war correspondent Asia Al-Khalifa was killed early today, after she took refuge with a group of soldiers from the Sixth Infantry Division in a building of the Humanitarian Aid Commission near Al Fasher Airport, amid escalating violent clashes.

According to the statement, the group was in constant contact with the division's headquarters at Al Fasher University, and reported that "the militia demanded Asia's surrender, but we will not surrender her, and we will defend her honor to the last breath."

However, the confrontation with "Rapid Support Forces" ended with the death of all group members, including Asia Al-Khalifa, who fell while defending her dignity and honor amidst the sounds of gunfire and chaos, according to the statement.
