Khaberni - US President Donald Trump revealed that he underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during his visit in October last year to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, without explaining the reason for the examination.
Trump told reporters aboard "Air Force One" on Monday, "I had an MRI scan, and the result was perfect. I have presented you with the complete report."
The White House had earlier this month released a one-page summary of a medical report stating that Trump is in "excellent overall health," noting that the visit included "advanced imaging examinations, laboratory tests, and preventative assessments," without explaining why the imaging examinations were conducted.
Trump himself did not provide any further details, simply saying when asked what the doctors were looking for: "You can ask the doctors, but I believe they provided a decisive report.. No president has ever presented such reports to you before."
Trump is 79 years old, and journalists have recently noticed swelling in his ankles and a persistent bruise on his right hand, which was sometimes covered with makeup.
The White House had announced in July last year that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a disease associated with leg swelling, while confirming at the same time that the president is in "excellent health" overall.
