Khaberni - Egyptian artist Zeina revealed that she suffered a painful injury during the filming of her new series "Rose and Chocolate," which is currently being shown on an electronic platform.
Zeina said she sustained a knee fracture despite her prior preparation for the challenging scenes.
In a post on her Instagram account, she added that she had extensive rehearsals before the start of filming to avoid any injuries, but she was surprised by the knee fracture as the project commenced, noting that the injury has been ongoing for about a month and she is currently receiving necessary treatment.
She confirmed that she continued filming despite the pain to keep to the schedule and ensure the continuity of the series' airing on its planned date, pointing out that the lead character she portrays required significant physical effort and complex movements in some of the scenes.
The plot of the series "Rose and Chocolate" takes place in a social drama context, about a man obsessed with controlling and possessing his wife, to the extent of continuously insulting her, while the wife suffers from severe psychological conflict due to this, leading the events towards a tragedy inspired by a real story of a media personality who was killed by her husband, which later turned into a public opinion case.
The series is written by Mohamed Rajaa, directed by Mando El Adl, and stars Zeina alongside Mohamed Farag, Mariam El Khosht, and Maha Nassar, and consists of 10 episodes.
