Khaberni - In an incident that triggered widespread controversy in American educational circles, Miata Borders, 24, was dismissed from her job as a substitute teacher at Lake Cormorant High School in Mississippi, on her very first day at work.

This happened after she posted a video on "TikTok" which included scenes of her students without prior permission from their parents, alongside comments described as inappropriate.

According to the British "Daily Mail", the video Borders posted showed her putting her feet on the teacher's desk and talking about one of the students in a manner many considered unprofessional, in addition to filming minor students with inappropriate comments, which caused a large wave of outrage on social media.

The DeSoto County Schools administration issued an official statement confirming Borders' immediate termination, clarifying that her actions violated educational regulations that prohibit filming students or publishing any content related to them without obtaining parental consent.

The statement said, "Mrs. Borders was informed today that she is no longer eligible to work as a substitute teacher in the district's schools."

The video, which quickly spread online, also included a scene of a student wearing a red skirt and red shoes and holding pom-poms, with Borders commenting, "Yes, this is what happens here," which many considered an unprofessional implication that undermines the educational environment.

Although the teacher was new to working in public schools, the incident revealed the sensitivity of dealing with social media within educational institutions, especially after similar cases in other American schools where teachers were dismissed due to content posted online.

Local laws in the state require parents to sign an official consent form before allowing their children to be filmed or for videos of them to be published for educational or media purposes, making Borders' behavior a clear violation of privacy and professional ethics rules.
