Khaberni - Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in the "Craftsmen 2025" summit organized by the Crown Prince Foundation, within the "Craftsmen Space" program, with broad participation from various governorates of the Kingdom. The summit served as a national platform gathering pioneers of creativity, design, and digital manufacturing, and contributes to enhancing an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship in Jordan.
Dr. Bilal Al-Wadi, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and CEO of the Jordanian Association for Entrepreneurship, emphasized that the university's participation in this event aligns with its vision to empower students and support excellence in the fields of digital manufacturing and modern technologies. He noted the visitors' admiration for the innovative models presented by students, which reflect the quality of academic preparation and the effectiveness of the university's innovation system.
Al-Wadi explained that the center continues to foster entrepreneurial ideas and develop them into applicable and scalable prototypes, through advanced infrastructure, specialized guidance programs, and strategic partnerships, broadening the students' horizons in creative industries and enhancing their entrepreneurial opportunities at local and regional levels.
During the summit, the university's students presented advanced innovative models that embody the university's quality educational programs. Among the highlights was the design and construction of a miniature model of an educational elevator inside the College of Engineering's laboratories, executed by students Mohammad Al-Qabbaj, Ahmad Al-Qudah, Mohammad Hatu, and Ward Al-Maaytah. The model operates on an Arduino Mega 2560 to manage floor inputs, door movement, and operation by a high-torque direct current motor. The project aims to utilize principles of mechanical and electronic movement in an effective, low-cost training application, deepening students' understanding of modern control systems.
