Joint Committee for Monitoring and Inspection of Hazardous Materials in All Provinces

Khaberni - The Supreme Committee for the Development of Business Inspection, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and the committee chairman, Yarub Al-Qudah, held its fifteenth meeting, where a number of important topics related to enhancing the efficiency of inspection operations on economic establishments in Jordan were discussed.

At the beginning of the meeting, the committee approved the formation of a joint committee for monitoring and inspection of hazardous materials, including representatives from the Ministry of Interior and several regulatory bodies, aimed at enhancing the control and management of hazardous materials in all provinces.

This committee is expected to improve the level of safety and security in facilities dealing with hazardous materials.

The tenure of the joint committees, formed under the law of monitoring and inspection of economic activities, has been extended to enhance coordination between regulatory bodies, in addition to the extension of delegated authorities among the concerned entities as per the existing delegation system. This included the formation of joint inspection committees to improve inspection mechanisms and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

These steps come as part of the government's efforts to develop business monitoring and inspection systems, and to provide a safer and more transparent economic environment, which enhances the safety of facilities and improves the level of service in the local market.
