Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced that based on a report from the residents of the Faisal area in Giza about finding the body of a boy (13 years old) and a girl (11 years old) in a state of exhaustion, who later died, the investigations succeeded in identifying and arresting the perpetrator—a veterinary medicine shop owner residing in Giza.
According to the ministry's statement, the accused confessed to having a relationship with the children's mother and living with her and her three children in a rented apartment, and discovering her misconduct. According to his confession, on the 21st of this month, he placed a poisonous substance he obtained from the shop in a cup of juice he served to the mother; she then fell ill, was transferred to the hospital, and died, while he claimed she was his wife and then registered his details under an alias and left the place.
The ministry added that on the 24th of this month, the accused took her three children and committed the same act by putting the poisonous substance in the juices. One of them (a 6-year-old) refused to drink it, so he disposed of the child by throwing him into a water channel where his body was retrieved, while the other two children returned to the home in a state of exhaustion and were then transferred to the place where they were found with the assistance of a shop worker and a tuk-tuk driver.
In conclusion of the statement, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the necessary legal actions were taken against the accused.
