Khaberni - Venezuela considered, on Sunday, that the arrival of the American warship "USS Gravely" to Trinidad and Tobago and the scheduled military exercises in the Caribbean archipelago as a "provocation", and announced the arrest of mercenaries it says are linked to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The government issued a statement saying, "Venezuela condemns a military provocation carried out by Trinidad and Tobago in coordination with the American Central Intelligence Agency to provoke a war in the Caribbean region," indicating that they "captured a group of mercenaries working for the CIA."
On Thursday, the arrival of the warship "USS Gravely" with a Marine unit to conduct exercises with the Trinidad and Tobago army was announced, as US President Donald Trump increases pressure on his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro.
