Khaberni - UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher demanded a safe passage for civilians trapped in the Sudanese city of El Fasher after the Rapid Support Forces announced their full control over the city on Sunday.

Fletcher said in a statement, "As fighters advance into the city and escape routes are cut off, hundreds of thousands of terrified civilians are trapped, exposed to bombardments, starving, and without access to food, healthcare, or safety."
