Khaberni - The Faisal area in the Giza governorate of Egypt witnessed a bloody night that shocked public opinion, after the entrance to one of the quiet buildings on Labini Street transformed into the scene of a horrific crime that claimed the lives of an entire family in a chilling incident.
The story began when the Giza police department received a report from the locals about the discovery of a child's corpse, about 13 years old, in front of a building entrance, with his 11-year-old sister in a state of severe distress next to him.
The girl was immediately transferred to the hospital, but she died a few hours later, starting the search for the truth of what happened amid the mystery of the disappearance of their mother, who had left the marital home following family disputes about 20 days earlier, and the unknown fate of the third child "Mustafa", aged 6 years.
As suspicions escalated and reports conflicted, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, on Sunday evening, in an official statement, revealed the details of the horrific crime, announcing the arrest of the prime suspect, the owner of a veterinary medicine shop residing in Giza, who confessed to committing the incident out of revenge against the children's mother.
According to the statement, investigations clarified that the suspect had a relationship with the mother, and she was living with him in a rented apartment in the Faisal area along with her three children. However, after a period of residence, the suspect began to suspect her behavior, deciding to eliminate her and her children tragically.
On October 21, the current month, the suspect placed a poisonous substance he had obtained from his shop in a cup of juice and offered it to the mother. As soon as she felt ill, he took her to Qasr El-Aini Hospital, claiming she was his wife, and registered his information under an alias, before leaving the place and fleeing, leading to her subsequent death.
The tragedy did not stop there; according to the statement, on October 24, the suspect decided to dispose of the three children in the same manner. He took them out for a walk, placed the same poisonous substance in their juices, and presented it to them. The two older children, "Seif" and "Jana," drank the juice, while the youngest, "Mustafa," aged 6 years, refused to drink the juice, forcing the suspect to throw him into a waterway in one of the canals within the precinct, where his corpse was later recovered.
Afterward, the suspect returned to his residence with the children "Seif" and "Jana," who were in severe distress. He enlisted the help of a worker at his shop and an unsuspecting kind-hearted "tuk-tuk" driver to transport them to the entrance of a building on Labini Street, where they were later found in a critical condition, before the girl died in the hospital.
During the investigation, the suspect confessed in detail to committing the incident, driven by revenge, affirming that he leveraged his expertise in veterinary poisonous substances to execute his plan.
The public prosecution ordered his detention pending investigations, as search teams continue their efforts to examine further evidence and uncover more details.
