Khaberni - Investigations into the Louvre museum heist, valued at 76 million British pounds, have revealed strong indications that "the thieves might have been from inside the museum," according to The Telegraph.

The digital forensic evidence showed that "a security member was in communication with suspects believed to be the perpetrators, indicating that the gang had obtained sensitive information about the security system prior to executing the theft."

Sources said: "Information about museum security was passed on, allowing the perpetrators to know how to breach it." It is believed that the evidence includes recordings and digital messages, although the identities of the thieves have not yet been disclosed.

Two men were arrested on Saturday in connection with the investigation of the theft of historical jewels from the Louvre Museum in Paris on October 19th.

One of the suspects was apprehended around ten o'clock at Charles de Gaulle Airport, while preparing to board a plane headed abroad, according to the newspaper "Le Parisien" and the magazine "Paris Match," and the other was captured shortly thereafter in Paris.

The two men were detained on charges of theft as part of an organized gang and forming a criminal gang.

The Louvre Museum reopened its doors to visitors after the theft operation carried out by four thieves who stole eight pieces of jewelry, causing a loss estimated at about 88 million euros, as reported by a journalist at the Agence France-Presse.

This comes while France is still in shock from the incident that occurred on Sunday, where thieves entered the Apollo gallery pretending to be maintenance workers, using a truck equipped with a 90-foot furniture lift to reach the artifacts.
