Khaberni - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi confirmed that he is hopeful with the support of all members, to elevate the parliamentary work legislatively and supervisory to maintain the prestige of the council and enhance the confidence of Jordanians in it.
Al-Qadi, after his acclamation as the Speaker, stated that there is no place for those who put their interests ahead of the nation's welfare.
He added that the priority today is to work together to achieve the national objectives outlined in the Royal Speech, and for the members to serve as a platform for justice, hard work, voicing the citizens' issues and echoing their concerns.
He pledged to maintain an equal distance from all members.
He indicated that the parliament faces challenging historical mandates and transformations that must strengthen the council and give it a loud voice, reminding everyone that the council's prestige depends on its management and the good performance of its members, pointing out that the parliamentary relationship with the government should be collaborative in both words and deeds through joint coordination that serves the Jordanian people and institutions.
