Middle East University hosts the first administrative meeting of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation

Khaberni - The first administrative meeting of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation for the academic year 2025/2026 was held at Middle East University, attended by the deans of student affairs from all Jordanian public and private universities, following the university's assumption of the presidency of the federation from the University of Jordan, which oversaw the leadership for the past four years.
The university president, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, opened the meeting with a speech welcoming the attendees, appreciating the efforts of the member universities in supporting collegiate sports activities, and expressing her gratitude to the University of Jordan for its quality efforts during its presidency of the federation.
During her chairmanship of the meeting, she confirmed Middle East University's commitment to continuing the federation’s mission in supporting talented student athletes, and developing an academic environment that nurtures their creative abilities, enhancing the balance between academic excellence and athletic achievements; she praised the remarkable achievements of Jordanian university students in local, Arab, and global competitions, noting that these successes reflect the students' awareness and sense of belonging, and highlight the vital role of universities in nurturing talents and honing their sports skills within an integrated academic system.
The meeting discussed a number of organizational, administrative, and technical issues related to the work of the federation, aiming to enhance institutional cooperation among member universities, and develop the administrative and technical structure of the federation, contributing to improving collegiate sports in Jordan and embodying the values of sportsmanship, fair competition, and university allegiance among students.
At the end of the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to train a generation of Jordanian youth who possess awareness, responsibility, and the ability to represent the nation well in regional and international forums.
