5 Healthy Foods a Cardiologist Warns Against Eating

Khaberni - An American cardiologist has revealed five foods that are seemingly healthy, but he completely avoids them due to their potential negative impacts on health.

Dr. Sanjay Bhojraj, residing in California, noted that seed oils, low-calorie or "diet" products, flavored yogurts, protein bars, and vegetable chips are not necessarily healthy choices as many believe.

Dr. Bhojraj pointed out that refined oils such as canola, soy, and corn can oxidize when heated, causing inflammation in the arteries and cells, and increasing the risks of arteriosclerosis, heart attacks, and strokes.

Therefore, he replaced them with healthier options like olive oil, avocado oil, beef tallow, and natural butter from grass-fed cows, according to the "Daily Mail".

He warned against low-calorie products containing artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose, as they can disrupt insulin balance and increase the craving for sugar, which raises the possibility of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

Flavored yogurt often contains high levels of sugar and emulsifiers that affect gut health and increase the risk of inflammation and cancer.

He described protein bars as "disguised sweets," due to their high content of sugar and refined oils, while protein can be obtained from natural sources such as nuts or boiled eggs.

Vegetable chips, despite their healthy appearance, are often fried in the same refined oils, reducing their nutritional value.

Finally, Dr. Bhojraj emphasized that the goal is not nutritional perfection, but making conscious choices that help prevent chronic inflammation and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, explaining that understanding the impact of food on the body makes dietary decisions clearer and more effective.
