Khaberni - US President Donald Trump, on Saturday, stated that efforts to bring stability to Gaza are progressing, and that an international force would soon be deployed in the sector, following his meeting with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during a refueling stop in Doha.

Trump added in response to a question about the situation in Gaza "This must be a sustained peace."
He noted that Qatar is ready to contribute peacekeeping forces if necessary, describing it as a major ally and a key player in stabilizing the region.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington is receiving proposals regarding the issuance of a possible United Nations resolution, or an international agreement to authorize a multinational force in Gaza, pointing out that this matter will be discussed in Qatar tomorrow, Sunday.
The Trump administration wants some Arab countries to contribute funds and soldiers to a multinational force to prevent the re-ignition of war in Gaza. Israel rejects the idea of Turkish troops participating.
