Khaberni - The preliminary registration for those wishing to perform the Hajj from Jordanians and Gaza Strip residents living in Jordan ends at nine o'clock on Sunday evening, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The ministry had previously announced the start of preliminary registration through the electronic Hajj platform.

Registration requires that the applicant (the principal) must be born on or before 31/12/1980, and must not have previously performed the Hajj. The applicant must also provide a certificate from the Ministry of Health proving they are free from a set of diseases specified by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which include:

Failure of one of the major organs (such as the heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys), neurological or psychiatric diseases that affect cognition or are accompanied by severe mobility disabilities, senility accompanied by dementia, pregnancy in the last two months or high-risk pregnancy at all stages, active cancer requiring chemotherapy, biological or radiation treatment, active infectious diseases that may affect public health, such as open tuberculosis (pulmonary TB).

It is required that the candidate meets these conditions to ensure their acceptance on this year’s Hajj candidate list.
