AlHayya No objection to managing Gaza by a national personality and the weapon issue is under discussion

Khaberni - The head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, told Al Jazeera that US President Donald Trump stated that the war has ended and that ongoing US statements confirm the war has ended, indicating that the Israeli occupation failed to achieve its goals over two years of war.

He added through Al Jazeera, that Hamas will not give the occupation any pretext to resume the war, noting that the movement handed over 20 Israeli prisoners after 72 hours of ceasefire, and also handed over 17 out of 28 bodies of the occupation prisoners.

He mentioned that tomorrow will enter new areas to search for some bodies of the occupation prisoners.

On the other hand, a Hamas leader said that the movement has no reservation about any national figure residing in Gaza to manage the sector, noting that it will hand over all controls of management in the Gaza Strip to the management committee including security.

He also confirmed that there is consensus with the Fatah movement regarding the international forces for separation and monitoring the ceasefire, as well as with all factions regarding the role of the UN agency being to rebuild Gaza.

He added that Hamas wants to go to elections as a preamble to reunifying the national ranks, emphasizing that "the people are one and want one authority and one government".

He mentioned that he informed the American envoys Steve Whitcov and Jared Kushner during their meeting with them that Hamas advocates stability, and that President Trump is capable of curbing the Israeli occupation.

He said that Hamas' weapons are linked to the existence of the occupation and aggression, and if the occupation ends, this weapon will be transferred to the state, noting that the issue of weapons is still under discussion with factions and mediators and that the agreement is still in its early stages.

He added "Hamas will not take a position without the national position agreed upon".

He also stressed that the West Bank is under the domination of settlements "and we urgently need to organize our national papers."

On another note, the head of Hamas in Gaza said that the movement accepts the UN forces as separation and monitoring forces for the borders and monitoring the ceasefire in Gaza.

He also said that the issue of prisoners is quintessentially national and that Hamas is striving to end the suffering of all Palestinian prisoners, noting that the occupation is stubborn about many of the prisoners' names and that efforts in this regard have not yet ended.

Regarding the humanitarian aspect, Al-Hayya confirmed that Gaza needs 6,000 trucks of aid daily and not just 600, noting that the occupation obstructs the entry of some materials to Gaza as if we are still in the middle of the war, according to his expression.

He also said "The humanitarian issue concerns us.. and the breaches concern people and expose the agreement to disruption."

He emphasized that the Hamas movement is not satisfied with the amount of aid entering the Gaza Strip, calling on intermediaries to intervene.

He also said that "targeting Doha and the abysmal and unprecedented failure in the history of Israel constituted a setback for the occupation".
