AlMomani JordanianEgyptian Coordination One of the Most Important Pillars of Arab National Security Stability

Khaberni - Al-Momani: Jordan and Egypt are an advanced model of fraternal cooperation and continuous coordination
Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, the Minister of Government Communication and Official Spokesman of the Government, said that the relationships between Jordan and Egypt, with their solid historical foundations, are the result of mutual care by the leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and their continuous coordination and directives to officials of both countries to strengthen the foundations of cooperation, develop its mechanisms, and expand its fields continuously.

Al-Momani added during an interview with Al-Ahram Al-Arabi magazine conducted by the editor-in-chief Jamal Al-Kashki and published today, Saturday, that these existing relationships based on sincere desire and constant principles of trust and mutual respect have reached honorable levels that reflect a distinctive model in joint Arab action and bilateral integration, based on the wise vision of the leaderships of the two countries.

Al-Momani explained that at the bilateral level, the meetings of the 33rd session of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee, which was hosted by Amman last August, are a clear proof of the strength of the relations between the two brotherly countries.

He indicated that the committee is one of the most regularly convened Arab joint committees, as its meetings have never been interrupted since its founding, making it an effective institutional framework for following up and implementing shared work files between Jordan and Egypt in various fields.

Al-Momani clarified that the recent session of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee, which was attended by the prime ministers of both countries, Dr. Jaafar Hassan and Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, embodied the level of advanced coordination between the two sides.

He confirmed that the committee witnessed the signing of 10 agreements and memorandums of understanding in various fields that enhance bilateral cooperation and open wider prospects for economic and investment integration between Jordan and Egypt.

Regarding Arab issues, Al-Momani confirmed that all stages demonstrate that Jordanian-Egyptian coordination constitutes one of the most important pillars of Arab and regional national security stability.

Al-Momani added that the leaderships of both countries, His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, are distinguished by wisdom, rationality, and balance, and they work to employ all efforts and relationships with the international community to serve Arab causes, foremost among them the just and central Palestinian cause, which represents a shared priority and supreme interest for both Jordan and Egypt.

Al-Momani said that no effort or dialogue related to Arab issues can start without a key and effective role for both Jordan and Egypt, pointing out that consultations and ongoing political movements between the two countries constitute a fundamental pillar in enhancing Arab position unity and coordinating regional efforts.

He added that the Jordanian and Egyptian positions are closely aligned regarding the Palestinian issue, clarifying that the two countries share a firm and clear position based on supporting the two-state solution and rejecting any plans for the displacement of Palestinians, alongside their prominent humanitarian and relief roles in supporting the brothers in the Gaza Strip.

When asked about the role of national media in supporting the community and protecting it from negative risks that may threaten it, Al-Momani said that the media is synonymous with awareness and its means, in its various national, social, cultural, and informational dimensions.

He clarified that the role of media is not limited to conveying information only, but extends to building a solid media and informational knowledge, based on objectivity, neutrality, consolidating correct information, and excluding the incorrect, confirming that this forms the first line of defense in protecting the society from misinformation, rumors, and false information.
