Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Interior carried out, today Saturday in the Mecca region, a ta'zir execution sentence against the Jordanian, Hani A., for importing a quantity of amphetamine pills into the Saudi Kingdom with the intention of promoting them.
The ministry stated that the security forces arrested the mentioned criminal, and the investigation resulted in charging him with committing the crime. Upon being referred to the competent court, a verdict was issued, confirming the charges against him and ordering his execution by ta'zir. The sentence became final after his appeal was rejected and affirmed by the Supreme Court, and a royal decree was issued to enforce what was decided by Sharia, and the sentence was executed.
The government of the Saudi Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the security of both citizens and residents from the scourge of drugs, and to imposing the strictest penalties prescribed by law against their smugglers and promoters; due to the deadly harm they cause to innocent lives, significant corruption in youth and individuals, community deterioration, and violation of their rights, while simultaneously warning anyone considering such actions that they will face Sharia-based punishment.
