AlHomsi as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Commerce  Jordan

Khaberni - The General Assembly of the International Chamber of Commerce - Jordan elected a new board of directors during its annual meeting held at the headquarters of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, during which the financial and administrative reports of its operations for the past year were approved.
According to a press release from the chamber today, Saturday, Ziad Bahjat Al-Homsi was elected as chairman, Nabil Al-Khatib as vice-chairman, and Hassan Al-Amad as treasurer. The board for its four-year term also includes Dr. George Hazboun, Dr. Zaki Al-Ayoubi, Engineer Joudat Yagmour, and Adeep Habayeb, in addition to the membership of the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Amman Chamber of Industry.
During the meeting, an auditor for the fiscal year 2025 was elected, and the estimated budget for the year 2025 was approved. All the points presented by the General Assembly were also discussed.
Al-Homsi confirmed that the International Chamber of Commerce serves as Jordan's bridge to the global economic and trade world, and we believe that Jordan's strategic location, the efficiency of its private sector, and the depth of its economic relations, give us a real opportunity to enhance our role in shaping global trade trends and contributing to building a more open and competitive business environment.
He added that we will work in the coming period to expand international partnerships, and support Jordanian merchants and industrialists to integrate into the global economy, enabling them to benefit from international agreements and cross-border trade opportunities.
He pointed out that the International Chamber of Commerce - Jordan, since its establishment, has been and still is a platform for representing Jordanian interests in international forums, and a window for transferring best global practices in trade, investment, and commercial arbitration.
He highlighted the need to work with all partners in both the public and private sectors, and with international institutions, to launch quality initiatives that support digital transformation in trade, enhance innovation and sustainability, and contribute to the elevation of the national economy in a way that befits Jordan's image and regional and international stature.
The Chamber was established in 1975 as a branch of the parent chamber in Paris and strives to convey Jordanian orientations regarding trade to international forums and to assist merchants and industrialists in integrating into the global economy. It also aims to represent its members in various bodies, conferences, councils, and temporary and permanent committees of the International Chamber and ensure linkage with them, and prepare the best means to achieve progress and prosperity for all Jordanian economic sectors.
