Khaberni - Under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, President of Amman Arab University, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Affairs and the Jordanian Association for Political Science, organized a scientific symposium titled "Jordanian National Security: Challenges and Strategies in a Turbulent Region" at the campus of Amman Arab University, presented by Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Shuniekhat, President of the Jordanian Association for Political Science.
In this regard, Dr. Anas Al-Tarawneh, a faculty member at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Amman Arab University, who moderated the symposium, emphasized the importance of this meeting in shedding light on one of the most prominent vital topics at the moment, such as Jordanian national security amid the transformations and rapid crises the region is witnessing, in addition to the importance of economic and community security in supporting national security, and the role of media and intellectual security in confronting rumors and hate speech, and the vital role that universities and youth play in instilling values of citizenship and enhancing national belonging.
In turn, Dr. Al-Shuniekhat provided during the symposium a comprehensive analysis of the concept of Jordanian national security, addressing the most prominent political and regional challenges facing Jordan, and the role of the Hashemite leadership and foreign policy in enhancing its stability and regional status, where Al-Shuniekhat noted that Jordanian national security is not limited to the military aspect only, but includes an integrated system of political, economic, social, and intellectual dimensions, confirming that the cohesion of the domestic front and public awareness form the basis for preserving the stability of the state of Jordan.
This symposium comes as part of Amman Arab University's commitment to addressing national issues and enhancing the political awareness of its students, through organizing intellectual meetings that enrich dialogue and deepen understanding of contemporary issues,
