Study UAE Saudi Arabia and Qatar Lead in Health Innovation

Khaberni - A new global study revealed the leadership of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar in the list of leading countries in the future of health sector innovation worldwide.

A recent international study conducted by "Roland Berger," a global strategic consulting firm, titled "The Future of the Healthcare Sector: Healthcare Systems in the Future," showed that the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar lead the global list in health innovation.

The study was based on a survey that included more than 5,200 participants from 25 countries around the world, aiming to explore the individuals' visions and aspirations towards the future of healthcare systems in their countries.

Health is a priority at both the governmental and personal levels
The study's results revealed widespread commonalities between the preferences of citizens in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and their counterparts in other countries, confirming that health occupies a leading position among the priorities of individuals and communities. It also clarified that health expenditure is at the forefront of both government and personal spending, both in the Arab Gulf states and on a global level.

Justice in accessing healthcare
The study showed that the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar align with the global trend towards enhancing justice in accessing healthcare services, reflecting their commitment to developing more inclusive and sustainable systems.

Sara Bardy, Head of Healthcare at "Roland Berger Middle East," stated that the clear leadership and evident desire to embrace innovation in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar represent a distinctive feature of the region. She confirmed that these countries have a real opportunity to use innovation as one of the main drivers to address current challenges in healthcare systems.

She added that this vision contributes to building high-performance, high-value health systems in the future, ensuring improved health outcomes and sustainable use of resources, while achieving effective response to the needs and aspirations of the people.
