Khaberni - Dr. Mohammed Al-Momani, the government communication minister, said that there is no government direction to issue a general amnesty, noting that a general amnesty should be well-studied before its issuance.
Al-Momani, while being hosted on the “60 Minutes” program on Jordanian Television, stated that the government respects all opinions regarding the timing system, confirming that the current practice of switching between summer and winter time will continue.
Al-Momani explained that Jordan will not send forces to the Gaza Strip, stressing that the Palestinian people are most entitled to determine their own fate, and that any attempt to displace Palestinians or infringe upon the sanctities in Jerusalem is considered a red line for both the Jordanian leadership and people.
He clarified that Jordan's stance on the Palestinian issue is firm and clear, consisting of stopping the war on Gaza, ensuring the entry of humanitarian aid, engaging in a political process with a real prospect, leading to reconstruction and achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
