After Rejecting the Second Appeal to Expel Flick Barcelona Resorts to Last Attempt

Khaberni - The appeal committee affiliated with the Spanish Football Federation rejected the plea submitted by Barcelona to cancel the suspension penalty imposed on its technical director, the German Hansi Flick, which casts significant doubt on the coach's presence on the bench in the "Clasico" against Real Madrid.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that justice has again rejected Barcelona's efforts to prevent Flick's absence from the bench in next Sunday's game at the "Santiago Bernabeu".
Flick was sent off last weekend against Girona for "applauding one of my decisions as a sign of protest," according to referee Gil Manzano.
Last Hope
The appeal committee in its decision issued today, Thursday, confirmed that it "agrees to reject the appeal submitted by Barcelona and affirms the contested decision issued by the disciplinary committee of the Spanish federation."

With this rejection, the only option left for the Catalan club is to resort to the Sports Administrative Court (TAD) before Friday noon to request a precautionary measure that would allow Flick to lead his team from the pitch in this decisive game.

Absence Scenario
If Barcelona's effort through the Sports Administrative Court is unsuccessful, Hansi Flick will be present in the "Bernabeu" stadium box with his assistants, and his assistant Markus Sorg will take over the main technical director duties on the pitch. It should be noted that Sorg's record leading the team in the absence of Flick last season was not good, as he lost two matches against Leganes and Atletico Madrid.

It should be noted that Flick has an excellent record in official "Clasico" matches, having not lost any game, which is why the club considers his presence on the bench to be of great importance.
