Khaberni - Data from the Ministry of Finance show that Jordan's total public debt increased to 46.849 billion dinars by the end of August this year, accounting for 119% of the Gross Domestic Product.
According to the data published on the Ministry of Finance's website, the total public debt has risen since the beginning of this year until the end of August by 2.688 billion dinars, and the total public debt at the end of last year was 44.161 billion dinars.
The Ministry of Finance's data indicate that the total amount borrowed by the government from the Social Security Investment Fund reached 10.951 billion dinars by the end of August.
