Khaberni - Omar Awad, head of the Jordanian Restaurant Owners Syndicate, said there is no intent to lower shawarma prices in Jordan Khaberni during this period.
Awad explained in radio statements in response to demands by Jordanians through Khaberni that chicken prices will rise with the drop in temperature.
Chicken and meat prices have declined in Jordan, where the price per kilogram of plucked chicken reached one dinar, as Khaberni reported; also, the prices of local and imported meats have fallen to between 8 to 11 per kilogram, while the price of Syrian lamb in Ramtha, northern Jordan, has reached 5 dinars.
