Khaberni - Abu Dhabi Police recovered approximately 140 million Dirhams from the proceeds of electronic fraud operations and returned it to its rightful owners at the same time. The security institution in Abu Dhabi revealed that it dealt with about 15,642 fraud cases in the past two years.

Gulf warnings continue to emerge about the need to enhance response efficiency to potential financial risks arising from cybercrimes. Abu Dhabi Police recently unveiled a new version of the awareness campaign "Stay Cautious," to raise community awareness of emerging financial crimes.

The national cybersecurity strategy supports this through a security awareness program that educates the public about the risks of electronic fraud and enhances trust in digital government services.

The "Stay Cautious" campaign includes nine main pillars of awareness: telephone scams, fake links, caution against downloading remote control software, paying deposits for fictitious numbers or vehicles, fake job offers, refusing friend requests from strangers on social media, caution against fake ads and online auctions, real estate fraud, and investment scams.

Officials explained that the awareness plan relies on proactive campaigns to educate community members about modern electronic fraud methods, contributing to enhanced community security and proactive crime prevention.
