Khaberni - Work moments in a field turned into a tragedy in Kütahya Province, Turkey, after a 9-year-old child died from falling into a seed planting machine while helping his grandfather with agricultural work.
According to local media, the child, Hüseyin Başhan, a fourth-grade student at Amina Arıoğlu Primary School, was working with his grandfather in a field in Aynıkaz village when he lost his balance and fell onto the seed planting machine attached to a tractor.
His family members quickly rescued him from the machine and called emergency teams, upon which ambulance and police teams rushed to the scene.
The child was taken to Kütahya State Hospital after receiving first aid at the scene, but he succumbed to his severe injuries despite doctors' attempts to save him.
The police have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident and whether there was any negligence in protecting the child from the dangerous machine.
