Arts and Sciences at Amman Ahliyya Participate in the Empowering the Family in Contemporary Societies Conference

Khaberni - Several faculty members from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Amman Ahliyya University participated in the international conference organized by the Global Moderation Forum under the title "Empowering the Family in Contemporary Societies: Opportunities and Challenges," with the participation of political, parliamentary, and academic figures from Jordan and various Arab and Islamic countries.
The conference was inaugurated under the sponsorship of former Prime Minister Ahmad Obeidat, who emphasized that women represent a fundamental pillar in the family and that empowering them is a key approach to maintaining social cohesion.
In his remarks, the Secretary-General of the Forum, Engineer Marwan Al Faouri, mentioned that enhancing the resilience of the family is an important milestone in empowering it and supporting its societal role according to Arab and Islamic values.
The first sessions of the conference included research papers addressing the role of educational institutions in building a stable family, the impact of social media on family relationships, and the challenges faced by families amid rapid changes. The second day's papers discussed intellectual and scientific topics focusing on the partnership between the state and civil society in family building, the family between international agreements and Islamic law, and empowering the family and its impact on the nation's renaissance and state strength.
The conference witnessed an active attendance from the faculty members, represented by Dr. Abdullah Tarawneh, Dr. Ammar Al-Maharme, Teacher Rana Al-Qaisi, and Teacher Aya Khalaf, who followed the session proceedings and participated in the dialogues and discussions that enriched the conference deliberations and contributed to enhancing the academic understanding of contemporary social issues.
The participation of the faculty members from Amman Ahliyya University in this event aligns with the university's vision to enhance the intellectual and research awareness of its academic staff, and empower them to contribute to addressing community issues with a responsible scientific spirit.
