Khaberni - On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which falls in October each year, Housing Bank organized a health awareness day at its administration building, which the bank holds annually in conjunction with the Arab campaign for breast cancer awareness, in cooperation with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program - King Hussein Cancer Foundation.
The event aims to spread awareness among employees about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer and to highlight the support available to those affected, in addition to promoting a culture of public health in the workplace.
The event included multiple activities, including an interactive session featuring a doctor from the King Hussein Cancer Center and several survivors; they shared their inspiring stories and their journey with the disease, encouraging their colleagues to perform annual early screenings.
During the event, the bank also hosted "The Goodness Kiosk" belonging to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, offering a variety of gifts for different occasions, with the proceeds going to support both children and adults in need at the center. Additionally, a special booth displayed a collection of food, sweets, and handicraft products made by the survivors, with the proceeds supporting them, thereby enhancing the employees' participation in supporting the bank's efforts to achieve the goals of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in combating the disease.
This event is one of the sustainable initiatives held by the bank within the framework of its long-term and multi-faceted partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation. It is also part of the bank's programs aimed at maintaining the general health of all its female and male employees, considering it one of the most important foundations for development and pillars for improving the quality of life.
The event reflects the special attention the bank pays to its female employees within its team, believing in the role of women and their impact on enhancing banking and financial performance and developing the bank's work path, alongside their important role in building communities.
