Khaberni - A Jordanian lawyer has appealed to the Israeli authorities for assistance, following a decision by the Jordanian Bar Association to strike off his membership, alleging his work with Israeli settlements.
The lawyer appeared in Israeli media, pleading with the occupation authorities to intervene, on the grounds that he found no one in Jordan to help stop the decision to terminate his membership.
In his statements to the Israeli channel "Kan," he considered the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty to be "ink on paper," asking the Israeli authorities to intervene to stop the decision, claiming that its implementation would affect future Israeli companies or interests in Jordan.
Observers condemned the lawyer’s resort to the occupation authorities for intervention, considering it an empowerment by foreign entities against the Jordanian state, and completely unacceptable.
The Jordanian Bar Association decided to expel the mentioned lawyer after it was proven that he cooperated with Israeli settlements, considering that this behavior constitutes a clear violation of professional rules and ethics.
