Khaberni - The Russian military conducted exercises on the use of strategic nuclear weapons on Wednesday, under the supervision of President Vladimir Putin.
The Kremlin (Russian Presidency) stated in a statement that elements of the Russian ground, air, and naval forces participated in the maneuvers, which also witnessed the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The statement mentioned the launch of the "Yars" intercontinental missile from the Kamchatka area (east), and the "Sineva" ballistic missile from a nuclear submarine in the Barents Sea (northwest), alongside the participation of the "Tu-95MS" aircraft in the exercises.
It added that Putin held a meeting regarding the exercises, with the participation of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, while Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov provided a briefing on the exercises.
It is worth mentioning that Russia conducted the last such exercise for the use of nuclear weapons in October 2024.
