The spokesperson for the General Security Directorate stated that a report had been received by the operations room indicating a house fire on the fourth floor of a building on Al-Hisn Street in Irbid Governorate.
He added that the specialized teams from the West Irbid Civil Defense Directorate immediately moved to the site of the fire and worked on extinguishing and controlling it.
The incident resulted in the death of a woman; and two other women suffering from breathing difficulties; necessary first aid was administered and then they and the deceased were transferred to Princess Basma Teaching Hospital.
An investigation will be opened to determine the causes of the fire
