Khaberni - Gold prices in Jordan have experienced noticeable fluctuations, with prices dropping from Monday evening to Wednesday evening by about 7 dinars per gram of 21 karat.
Over about 72 hours, the General Union of Owners of Jewelry Trade and Craftsmanship Shops issued 15 price settings, averaging 5 price settings per day, in a phenomenon that has not occurred before.
At six o'clock in the evening on Monday, the price of 21 karat gold reached 89 dinars, while the price of 24 karat gold was 101.75 dinars, the highest price ever recorded for gold in Jordan's history.
Since that time, gold prices have continued to fluctuate, dropping in the fifth price setting issued on Wednesday evening to 82.3 dinars for 21 karats (a difference of 6.7 dinars from Monday), and 94.3 dinars for 24 karats (a difference of 7.45 dinars from Monday).
